Launching the Ship named HOA PHUONG DO, No. K003

On 12/5, at Bach Dang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, a passenger ship named Hoa Phuong Do, serving the route from the mainland to Bach Long Vi island, was successfully launched.

HOA PHUONG DO ship is designed by Vietnam Shipbuilding Technology Joint Stock Company (VISEC) and built by Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company Limited.

This is a passenger ship, length of 52,350 m, width of 10,500 m, height of 4,700 m and design draft of 2,600 m.

Total tonnage (DWT) is 215.49 tons, the capacity of 200 passengers, the operation area is the inland sea in wave condition up to level 6, level 7 and wind condition up to level 8, level 9; Travelling time from land to island and vice versa take about 5 hours; ship value about 173 billion arranged by State Budget.

It is expected that the ship will be completed and put into operation in September, 2017.
